In the photo of the 3 Electra's from left: Limited 2dht project
car, convertible in good condition and 4dht in "useable"
condition.
My name is Stein Erik Tveter and I live in Norway. I'm also very
interested in 1970 Buick Electra and today I own 3 pcs. BCA username
70fullsize
It all started in 1998 when I surfed internet before heading for
the US for the first time together with a couple of friends. I
planned to buy an car that I was going to import to Norway, and
hopefully an convertible.

My first 1970 Electra Custom 225 was bought in San Antonio, TX
in april -99 after visiting the seller. (Yellow, seem like light
green in photo). When the car finally arrived to Norway I discovered
a lot more rust that expected and a lot of bondo. Then I started
to look for another Electra to use as an parts car.
In august -00 I got in touch with Don in Gaithersburg, MD who
had an 1970 Electra Custom 225 conv. for sale. It was bought unseen
and when it finally arrived to Norway I discovered that it was
in MUCH better condition than the one from TX. I decided then
to work on the MD car instead. But what about the conv. from TX?
After another "trip" on internet I found an Electra
Limited Custom 225 2dht for sale in OH. Do I need to tell that
also this car now are located in Norway?? My plan was to use the
Limited as an parts car for the TX conv. but I SOLD that car before
the Limited arrived!! And it was ok.

The Limited ain't that bad, needs some welding, paint, vinyl roof
etc, but drives and stops like almost new. So I have stored it
for future restoration!

Then september -02 came and a friend and I was invited to an wedding
in La Porte, TX in december. (Parents own an -69 Electra Custom
225 2dht). We planned on staying 14 days so we needed "something"
to drive during our stay. What else to buy other than an 70 Electra??
In Dallas, TX I found an Custom 225 4dht for sale, tagged and
inspected and since I know an "car nut" in Dallas called
Mike, he got the job checking the car for me. To make it short,
the 4dht was delivered in Galveston, TX mid january -03 and arrived
to Norway 5 weeks later.
Future plans?? The conv. from MD is now an very good summer driver.
Some rust in rear 1/4's and rear body mounts welded, repainted,
replaced the conv. top (original saddlewood), front and rear seats
reupholstered, engine rebuilt, all door / conv. top rubber seals
replaced, converted original AM/FM radio (AAR in FL) to cd input,
all suspension and brake parts replaced. This car is NOT for sale!!
The 4dht and Limited? I don't need 3 cars....... perhaps selling
the Limited and / or the 4dht. Needs to sell atleast one of them,
but plan to do a little work on them first.
